Phil Lesh Leads ‘Love Will See You Through’ Benefit Concert: Full Show Pro-Shot Video

Last night, Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh teamed with an all-star lineup for “Love Will See You Through,” a benefit concert held at Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael, California. Lesh was on-stage throughout Wednesday’s concert, which also featured contributions from Stu Allen, Ross James, Alex Koford, Lebo (Dan Lebowitz), Grahame Lesh, Greg Loiacono, John Molo, Elliott Peck, Melvin Seals and Barry Sless.

Phil, Melvin Seals, Grahame Lesh, John Molo, Lebo, Barry Sless and Elliott Peck began the first of two sets with “They Love Each Other.” Then, Greg Loiacono entered the fray for “If I Needed You” by Townes Van Zandt. Next, Koford emerged to lead a cover of The Beatles’ “Come Together.” The original band went on to perform the Dead’s “Bird Song” before Peck left the stage for a Lebo-led rendition of Jimi Hendrix’s “Bold As Love.” Loiacono returned for “All We Really Want To Do” by The Everly Brothers ahead of a rousing “Turn On Your Love Light” to close out the frame.

Last night’s second set got underway with Stu Allen leading Seals, Molo, Peck, Lebo and Phil on “That’s What Love Will Make You Do.” It was then Alex and Grahame up front for Tom Petty’s “I Won’t Back Down.” The concert continued with Phil belting out his signature song “Box Of Rain,” which includes the lyric mentioned in the name of the benefit show. Takes on Solomon Burke’s “Everybody Needs Somebody To Love” and The Rascals’ “Good Lovin'” followed. Next, Lebo led the Leshs, Seals, Molo and Allen on ALO’s “I Wanna Feel It.” The stage was then loaded for a set-closing “Not Fade Away.” Phil, Grahame and Alex started the encore with a gorgeous “Attics Of My Life” before the rest of the evening’s performers returned for “With A Little Help From My Friends” by The Beatles.

Proceeds from the concert went towards North Valley Animal Disaster Group or NorCal United Way, a pair of charities helping those affected by last month’s Camp Fire wildfire. Watch full show pro-shot video thanks to nugs.tv:
