Phil Lesh & Friends To Return To Capitol Theatre For May Shows
Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh will bring a new Phil Lesh & Friends lineup to The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York this May. Lesh will be joined by guitarists Warren Haynes and Eric Krasno, drummer Tony Leone and keyboardist Melvin Seals at The Cap on May 28 and 29. The venue announced the shows via Twitter:
Melvin Seals, the longtime organist for the Jerry Garcia Band, has not played with Phil Lesh & Friends in the past. Haynes is a member of Lesh’s long-running The “Q” lineup, while Lettuce/Soulive guitarist Eric Krasno first performed with Phil at a free performance in Central Park back in November 2013 and has since shared the stage with the bassist a number of times since. Tony Leone is the drummer for Chris Robinson Brotherhood and has performed as part of a handful of Phil Lesh & Friends’ lineups.
Later this month, Phil Lesh’s 76th birthday will be celebrated at The Capitol Theatre with a series of three shows. The “Q” will play the venue on March 17 and 18, while Lesh will be joined by Krasno, Haynes, Rob Barraco and John Molo on March 15. All three March Phil & Friends’ shows in Port Chester are sold out.
Tickets for both May shows go on-sale this Friday, March 11 at noon ET via Ticketfly.
