Pearl Jam Performs Yield In Its Entirety In Milwaukee
By Scott Bernstein Oct 21, 2014 • 7:20 am PDT

The evening started with the Yield instrumental “Red Bar” used to intro “Pendulum” and then Pearl Jam romped through three songs before welcoming Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen up for a cover of The Who’s “Baba O’Riley.” From there, the full performance (minus “Red Bar”) of Yield took place.
Vedder shouted out Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and led a birthday tribute to Tom Petty that included a solo performance of “I Won’t Back Down.” Other covers played over the course of the three-hour-plus show were “Crazy Mary,” “Fuckin’ Up” and “The Star Spangled Banner.” Eddie even called the performance “the best of tour,” but we’ll see if the band tops it with the tour finale in Denver tomorrow night. After that Pearl Jam heads to California for this year’s Bridge School Benefit Concerts.
