Paul Simon Performs ‘Slip Slidin’ Away’ From Home

Paul Simon shared video of a solo home performance via social media. For the clip, the legendary singer-songwriter and guitarist delivered his classic, “Slip Slidin’ Away.”

Originally released as a single in 1977, “Slip Slidin’ Away” — featuring backing vocals from The Oak Ridge Boys — also appears on Simon’s 1977 compilation, Greatest Hits, Etc. The recording, however, comes from the Still Crazy After All These Years sessions in 1975. While a demo appeared on the 2004 reissue of the album, Simon chose, somewhat fortuitously, not to include the song on Still Crazy After All These Years. The single would become a hit in 1977 as well as a live staple, most notably with Art Garfunkel who added his iconic high harmonies to the song in the live setting.
