Madison, Wisconsin-based singer-songwriter Pat Ferguson will issue his debut album Light Of Day / Dark Of Night on April 27 via LoHi Records. The solo release features several special guests, including Yonder Mountain String Band mandolin player Jacob Jolliff on the single “The Night / The Temptress.”

Ferguson tapped Adam Greuel of Horseshoes & Hand Grenades to produce Light Of Day / Dark Of Night. In addition to Jolliff, other guests contributors include Kyle Keegan of Mandolin Orange, Kenny Leiser of WheelHouse, Chad Staehly of Hard Working Americans and Great American Taxi, Sarah Vos of Dead Horses and Greuel and his Horseshoes & Hand Grenades band mates.

“When you’re in your darkest time, you long for the light. That’s a given,” Ferguson said. “But at your peak, to have the ability to recognize your weaknesses and appreciate that everything can change in a split second…that’s something I’ve always wrestled with. It took toward the end of this recording process for me to realize that this story really was not about the division between joy and pain. It’s about a collective experience that has made me who I am today.”

Ferguson, who was a co-founding member of The Smokin’ Bandits, will tour throughout 2018 both solo and with his backing band The Sundown Sound. Stream “The Night / The Temptress” and watch a trailer for the album below:
