Kung Fu & Particle :: 12.9.16 :: The Mint :: Los Angeles
Jam acts Kung Fu and Particle played the penultimate show of a lengthy tour at The Mint in Los Angeles on Friday. Kung Fu filled their set with favorites including “Bringin’ Up The Rear,” “Hollywood Kisses” and “Scrabb.” Particle then played a set filled with such classics as “Triple Threat,” “Launchpad,” “Below Radar” and “The Elevator.” Keyboardist Steve Molitz was happy to perform in his old home town, where The Mint was full of friends including his parents. Disco Biscuits drummer Allen Aucoin sat-in on “Sun Mar 11,” while members of both bands as well as Marcus Rezak (Digital Tape Machine) and Ryan Liatsis (ShwizZ) helped out on an encore of Cypress Hill’s “Insane In The Brain” and “Psycho Killer” by Talking Heads. Photographer Robert Chapman captured the action:
