Particle Announces 1st Studio Album In 14 Years & 2018 Fall Tour
After 14 years a new Particle album is on its way. The livetronica act will release Accelerator this September. Particle will hit the road for a Fall Tour in support of the new LP.
The current Particle lineup features keyboardist Steve Molitz, bassist Clay Parnell, drummer Kito Bovenschulte and multi-instrumentalist Michael Daum. Accelerator contains nine new original tracks that according to materials announcing the forthcoming record are, “packed with powerhouse performances and adventurous songwriting that is sure to excite both longtime fans and newcomers alike.” More details, including the release date, pre-order details and tracklist, will be announced soon.
Particle begins a tour in support of the album at Nectar’s in Burlington on October 4. From there, the quartet plays shows in Massachusetts and Maine before heading down the East Coast for stops in Baltimore and Carrboro (North Carolina). A Florida run then includes visits to Dunedin on October 11, Key West on October 12 and 13 and Boca Raton on October 14.
The tour continues with performances in Chattanooga on October 16, Indianapolis on October 17, Chicago on October 18 and Minneapolis on October 19. Particle visits Menasha, Wisconsin on October 20 before a stop in Detroit on October 21. Next up for the band is a series of dates in Pittsburgh, Washington D.C., Philadelphia and Asbury Park featuring support from lespecial. Particle concludes the tour in their current hometown of New York City on October 27.
