New Huntsville Venue Orion Amphitheater Announces Opening Weekend Lineup

New Huntsville, Alabama venue The Orion Amphitheater will open with The First Waltz, a three-day event spanning May 13 – 15, 2022. Brittany Howard, Emmylou Harris, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit and Mavis Staples are among the acts will ties to the region set to perform as part of The First Waltz.

Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Emmylou Harris, Waxahatchee and John Paul White kick off the action on Friday, May 13. Brittany Howard, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Mavis Staples and Drive-By Truckers play the new venue on Saturday, May 14. A free concert featuring local acts The Aeolians Of Oakwood University, Deqn Sue & Kelvin Wooten, Translee and Huntsville Community Drum Line is slated to end the weekend on Sunday, May 15. More guests will be announced soon.

Tickets for The First Waltz go on sale this Friday, November 19 at 10 a.m. CT via AXS.com
