North Mississippi Allstars announced the upcoming release of their new album, Up And Rolling, due out October 4 via New West Records. Produced by Luther Dickinson and Cody Dickinson at their family studio, The Zebra Ranch, the album features guest contributions from Mavis Staples, Jason Isbell, Cedric Burnside, Duane Betts and Sharde Thomas.

NMA also premiered the first look at the record via Paste. “What You Gonna Do?” is a Staples Singers’ cover form the famed family’s 1965 album Freedom Highway featuring the legendary Mavis Staples herself. Here’s what Luther Dickinson had to say about the track:

Freedom Highway became one of the records that changed my life. Pulled from my father’s record collection, this music recorded live in a Chicago church, transported me into a live church service with The Staples Singers with drums and bass! This did not sound like my grandmother’s Baptist church. This gospel was so beautiful, yet funky. “What You Gonna Do?” is the bluest gospel song I have ever heard.
