North Mississippi Allstars shared a new single entitled “Didn’t We Have A Time.” The track appears on the band’s upcoming album, Set Sail.

Co-produced by co-founding members Luther Dickinson and Cody Dickinson, the 10-song Set Sail is set for release through New West Records on January 28. The Dickinson Brothers are joined by bassist Jesse Williams on the follow-up to 2019’s Up And Rolling. Additionally, Set Sail includes vocalist Lamar Williams Jr. on a number of songs, while legendary musician William Bell co-wrote, co-produced and contributed to the track “Never Want To Be Kissed.”

“Jesse grew up playing music with his brothers and his father—as did we,” Luther Dickinson explained of NMAS’ new bassist. “He plays like a sibling. I’m drawn to musical families, regardless of style. Playing with second- or third-generation players allows us an easy unspoken musical dialog. It’s not a big thing; it’s just what we do.”

The dreamy “Didn’t We Have A Time” features Luther Dickinson on lead vocals. Stream the track below:
