NOLA Funk Fest Reveals 2024 Lineup Featuring Meters Celebration, Tank & The Bangas, Big Freedia & More

The Nola Funk Fest announced its 2024 lineup including Meters celebration GeoLeo, Tank and the Bangas, Big Freedia and more. Presented by the Louisiana Music & Heritage Experience, the three-day event is set to take place at the New Orleans Jazz Museum October 18 – 20.

GeoLeo features Meters co-founders bassist George Porter Jr.. and guitarist Leo Nocentelli along with drummer Stanton Moore and keyboardist Ivan Neville. Neville’s Dumpstaphunk and George Porter Jr. & Runnin’ Pardners will play additional sets.

Also set to perform at NOLA Funk Fest 2024 are Jon Cleary and The Absolute Monster Gentlemen, Marcia Ball, The Soul Rebels, The New Orleans Suspects with Dirty Dozen Horns, Bobby Rush, David Batiste & the Gladiators, Erica Falls and Vintage Soul, John “Papa” Gros, The Lucky Strokes and more.

“This festival is a party to kick off the public announcement of The Louisiana Music & Heritage Experience, a grand scale museum dedicated to our State’s rich musical history,” as per NOLA Funk Fest’s website. “We believe that Louisiana’s music history needs to be preserved to educate, inspire and empower!”
