NOLA Crawfish Festival Announces 2017 Lineup

The 2nd annual NOLA Crawfish Festival will be held at its new home of Central City BBQ in New Orleans from May 1 – 3. Organizers of the event, which takes place in the days between Jazz Fest weekends, have detailed the 2017 lineup.

NOLA Crawfish Festival 2017 will feature a number of supergroups such as Crawfish Fest All Stars which brings together George Porter Jr., John “Papa” Gros, June Yamagishi, Terence Higgins and special guests. Then there’s NCF Funk Squad featuring Eric Krasno, John Medeski, George Porter Jr. and Terence Higgins. Also aboard are Alvin Youngblood Hart’s Muscle Theory With Luther Dickinson, Neville Jacobs, Khris Royal & Dark Matter, Boukou Groove, Good Enough For Good Times, Corey Henry & The Treme Funktet and more. Another collaboration, MVP, will feature Jon Cleary, Nigel Hall, Tony Hall, Derwin “Big D” Perkins and Raymond Weber. Check out the graphic below for the full lineup.

The festival will run from 3 p.m. – 10 p.m. each day. In addition to the music, attendees can enjoy over 5,000 pounds of hot broiled crawfish prepared on-site by Chris “Shaggy” Dave and his team as well as ice-cold beer and critically acclaimed barbecue from Central City BBQ. At the end of the event, twenty teams will compete in the “Ultimate Crawfish Cook-Off” judged by a panel of NOLA celebrities.

A variety of ticketing packages are available which come with crawfish and beer.
