Nicki & Tim Bluhm Part Ways In Marriage & Professionally

We’re saddened to report that Tim Bluhm and Nicki Bluhm have announced they “mutually decided to part ways both in (their) marriage and professionally.” Tim hasn’t been on the road with Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers for recent tours and from the looks of his statement he has left the band he helped form.

Here’s what Tim had to say via his Facebook page:

“After much deliberation Nicki and I have mutually decided to part ways both in our marriage and professionally. We remain friends and truly want the best for each other. We ask that you respect our privacy during this challenging time in our lives. Thank you.”

Nicki sang for Tim after a Mother Hips gig in the mid 2000s. Tim was impressed and offered to mentor Nicki and shortly thereafter the pair tied the knot. The Bluhms formed the Gramblers in 2008 with Nicki fronting the band and Tim acting as musical director. Tim & Nicki released an album of duets in 2011.

The Gramblers return to the road on November 12th at the Granada Theater in Dallas, while Tim – who’s recovering from a recent injury – takes the stage with The Mother Hips for their annual holiday shows in San Francisco on December 18 and 19 at the Great American Music Hall.
