Newport Jazz Festival Reveals 2026 Lineup: Herbie Hancock, Kamasi Washington, Jon Batiste & More

The three-day event returns for its 72nd edition July 31 through August 2 at Fort Adams State Park in Newport, Rhode Island.

Newport Jazz Festival's 2026 lineup has arrived loaded with an eclectic array of stars from multiple generations, including headliners Herbie Hancock, Kamasi Washington and Jon Batiste. The 72nd edition of the legendary event will be held at its forever home of Fort Adams State Park in Newport, Rhode Island, July 31 through August 2.

Kamasi Washington will be joined by Chief Adjuah for a “Celebrating 100 Years Of Coltrane & Miles” performance, while Batiste will play with Jon Batiste Trios. Additional Newport Jazz 2026 performers include Vulfpeck, Thundercat, Gary Clark Jr., Lake Street Dive, Robert Glasper featuring Bilal and Ari Lennox, Leon Thomas, Sienna Spiro and Little Simz.

The festival also features performances from Cory Wong with Joshua Redman, Flea And The Honora Band, Angine de Poitrine, Snarky Puppy, Nate Smith, Arlo Parks, Marcus King with Chris Dave and MonoNeon, Celeste and the Charles Lloyd Sky Quartet featuring Jason Moran, Kweku Sumbry and Larry Grenadier.

Additional artists on the bill include John Scofield & Dave Holland, Anoushka Shankar, Lalah Hathaway, The Bad Plus, Bernard Purdie, Butcher Brown, The Dip, Gotts Street Park, Dana and Alden, Terri Lyne Carrington and Charlie Hunter & Ella Feingold, among others.
