Newport Folk Festival Adds Goose To 2023 Lineup

Goose joined the Newport Folk Festival 2023 lineup. The storied festival takes place at Fort Adams State Park in Newport, Rhode Island July 28 – 30.

The Newport Festival Foundation will ​​provide a grant to TeachRock on Goose’s behalf. The charity organization uses “music to make history, science, math, language arts and other subject areas exciting and relevant to young people,” as per a Newport Folk Festival social media post. “The funds will help create a history lesson plan that uses the stories of artists’ appearances at Newport festivals as a window into mid-20th century America.”

Goose joins previously announced Newport Folk Festival 2023 performers Billy Strings, Caamp, Maggie Rogers, Aimee Mann, Madison Cunningham, Bartees Strange, The Beths, Mdou Moctar and more. The Connecticut-based quintet made their debut at the event last summer.
