New To YouTube: Warren Haynes Joins Dave Matthews Band At MSG In 2000

Back in on December 12, 2000 the Dave Matthews Band opened a two-night stand at the famed Madison Square Garden in New York City. During the show, guitarist Warren Haynes emerged to sit-in on a song toward the end of the main set, and returned to finish the show for the final song of the encore. Yesterday, high-quality video of the full show featuring the collaboration surfaced on YouTube thanks in part to the work of ChesterCopperpot5.

Opening with “Warehouse,” DMB’s set that night included other favorites such as “What Would You Say,” “Satellite,” “The Best of What’s Around,” “Crash Into Me” and “The Song That Jane Likes” before Haynes came out to assist on “Crush.” Warren played an assertive solo near the conclusion of his first appearance that night. He came back for the cover of Bob Dylan’s “All Along The Watchtower” which was the second and final song of the two-song encore.
