Third Man Records will celebrate the tenth anniversary of The Raconteurs‘ Consolers Of The Lonely with their latest vault package release. The Nashville-based independent record label will put out a reissue of the band’s sophomore album along with a 7″ single that features two brand new songs, their first new music in a decade. Both tunes were recorded at recent sessions that according to today’s announcement “will ultimately result in a new Raconteurs album in 2019.”
Vault Package #38 features Consolers Of The Lonely mastered directly from the original 1″ master tapes and pressed on copper foil metallic vinyl at Third Man Pressing in Detroit, Michigan. Additionally, the package is set to include “reimagined cover art, an embroidered ‘R’ insignia patch and a set of four 2.5″ brushed silver stickers featuring art” from the record. The bonus single comes from recent recording sessions from the band comprised of Jack White, Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler. Those who buy the package will be the first to hear the two new songs, whose titles won’t be revealed until purchasers receive them in them in the mail. The deadline to sign up for the latest Third Man Records vault release is October 31 at 12 a.m. CT. Head here to register and for more information.
