New Clip From ‘Long Strange Trip’ Details The Different Types Of Grateful Dead Fans

After years of waiting, Grateful Dead fans everywhere will soon be able to see filmmaker Amir Bar-Lev’s documentary on the band – Long Strange Trip. Select theaters across the U.S. will host one-night screening events for the movie on May 25. Then, a number of theaters in New York City and Los Angeles will present screenings of Long Strange Trip starting on May 26. Finally, the long-in-the-making documentary will premiere on Amazon Prime June 2. Amazon Prime Video subscribers will be able to watch the lengthy film starting on June 2 for no additional cost. A fascinating 75-second clip from the film has just been shared.

In the clip below author and Deadhead Steve Silberman discusses the different types of Deadheads that would attend Grateful Dead shows. There were spinners, folks who liked the “Phil Zone,” those who enjoyed to watch the shows from Jerry side and “Wharf Rats” who took in concerts sober, among others.
