Nels Cline, John Scofield & John Medeski Among Those To Perform At NYC Benefit

On February 6, (le) poisson rouge in New York City will host an all-star benefit concert. The event is a fundraiser for the Creative Music Studio.

Peter Apfelbaum, Steven Bernstein, Nels Cline, Bill Frisell, Billy Martin, John Medeski, John Scofield and Tony Scherr are the first musicians to be announced that will perform at lpr on February 6. Tickets go on sale Friday, December 15 at 12 p.m. ET.

The Creative Music Studio was founded in 1971 by Karl Berger, Ingrid Sertso and Ornette Coleman. CMS engages musicians and listeners from all backgrounds to deepen and broaden their musical sensitivity, expression and understanding through workshops, recordings and concerts worldwide. Billy Martin has taken on the role of President of the Creative Music Foundation in 2018. He put the concert together to start raising funds for the great cause.
