Neil Young‘s Neil Young Archives (NYA) website features word from the legendary musician he will soon enter the studio with Crazy Horse. Young also added a second solo show in Vancouver to the start of his May tour. Elvis Costello will now open both nights in Vancouver.

The 73-year-old musician recently answered a round of questions submitted by fans as part of the NYA’s Letters To The Editor section. Neil was asked to issue a new album this fall in addition to archival releases. In Young’s response, he wrote “Crazy Horse is about to enter the studio with 11 new ones.” The current lineup of Crazy Horse finds Neil Young backed by bassist Billy Talbot, drummer Ralph Molina and guitarist Nils Lofgren.

Next month, Neil Young will play a series of solo shows before embarking on a run with Promise Of The Real. The tour will now open on May 14 at Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Young had already announced a concert on the 15th at the Queen Elizabeth. “I can’t wait to play in Vancouver again at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre where I started my first solo tour of Canada in 1971,” reads a note from Neil on NYA. “The tour took me to Massey hall and the recording of Harvest a few weeks later.” He added, “Making these shows extra special is my old friend Elvis Costello doing guest sets each night. Elvis’ songs and his history in music are amazing. These will truly be incredible nights of meaningful music for our music loving fans.”

A pre-sale for NYA subscribers is underway.
