Neil Young & Crazy Horse officially canceled their remaining 2024 tour dates. The rest of this year’s Love Earth Tour has been scrapped due to illness.
The news was revealed via a post on Neil Young’s website. While the band felt the tour “has been a great experience” they had to cancel shows in Chicago, Austin and Dallas last month “when a couple of us got sick after Detroit’s Pine Knob.” The message does not disclose which members became ill.

“We are still not fully recovered, so sadly our great tour will have a big unplanned break,” the statement from the band continued. “We will try to play some of the dates we miss as time passes when we are ready to rock again!” Neil Young & Crazy Horse went on to apologize “for the inconvenience” and thanked fans for their “understanding and patience.”
Neil Young is joined in the group by the longtime Crazy Horse rhythm section of drummer Ralph Molina and bassist Billy Talbot as well as recent addition guitarist/keyboardist Micah Nelson. The Love Earth Tour was Neil Young & Crazy Horse’s first outing in five years. The quartet played 15 shows between April 24 and May 22.
Shows affected span July 8 through September 29. Among the 16 dates canceled were several festival appearances including at Ohana, Bourbon & Beyond and the Ottawa Bluesfest. Ohana and Bourbon & Beyond organizers advised fans to stay tuned for a replacement to be announced.
