Keyboardist Neal Francis shared a new single, “Need You Again,” featuring guitarist Eric Krasno and Say She She. The track is set to land on Francis’ forthcoming album, Return To Zero, out on March 14 via ATO Records.
Neal Francis previously shared the Return To Zero cut, “What's Left Of Me.” The keyboardist drew inspiration for the latest preview, “Need You Again,” after attending a DJ set from Chicago house legend Derrick Carter, who crafted a 12” remix of Francis’ “BNYLV,” off Neal’s 2021 studio effort In Plain Sight.

“My girlfriend and I went out to a queer dance party called Queen! and stayed till about four in the morning, and Derrick played a track that was a big rock riff over a funk beat,” Francis recalled of the experience. “The next day I went into the studio on very little sleep and started working on the demo for ‘Need You Again,’ and after I finished, I couldn’t stop listening to it. It’s a song about a love affair, and the experience of projecting magical qualities onto another person and feeling almost addicted or beholden to them.”
“Need You Again” features the guitar stylings of Grammy-winner Eric Krasno. The track also boasts backing vocals from “Brooklyn-based disco-delic trio Say She She,” as per a press release.
