Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats Perform At Rock The Garden 2022: Pro-Shot Video

Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats returned to Minneapolis in June for Nathaniel Rateliff‘s first gig in Minnesota since March 2020. Minnesota Public Radio station The Current shared pro-shot video featuring the group’s headlining performance at Rock The Garden on June 11, 2022.

Rock The Garden was held at Walker Art Center with The Night Sweats topping a bill that also included Sleater-Kinney, Bombino, Low, beabadoobee, Bombino, DāM‐FunK and Divide and Dissolve. Nathaniel Rateliff led his longtime backing band through a 23-song performance.

“It’s been a couple years,” Rateliff noted after opening with the title track from their latest release, The Future. “We’ve missed you all. We love you guys. It’s so good to be back.” Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats loaded the setlist with seven additional songs off The Future, including singles “Survivor” and “Love Don’t.”

The group also performed eight cuts featured on 2018’s Tearing At The Seams and five off the band’s self-titled 2015 studio album. The former was represented by such songs as “Hey Mama,” “A Little Honey,” “I’ll Be Damned” and “Baby I Lost My Way, (But I’m Going Home).” Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats’ gems “I’ve Been Failing,” “Look It Here,” “Wasting Time” and “I Need Never Get Old” dotted the main set, while the beloved “S.O.B.” was played between “Out On The Weekend” and “Love Don’t” as the ensemble’s encore.
