Nathaniel Rateliff has become a member of the Farm Aid Board Of Directors. The singer-songwriter joins Farm Aid co-founders Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp, as well as fellow artist members Dave Matthews and Margo Price.

“Farm Aid has made a huge impact on me,” Rateliff stated. “It is always one of my favorite events of the year. It is an honor and a privilege to join my heroes and peers as a Farm Aid board member. I look forward to working together to continue educating the public on the struggles family farmers face and to raise money to support them for a better future.”

Rateliff performed at Farm Aid Eve in 2013 and appeared with his band The Night Sweats at Farm Aid 2016. The Missouri-born, Colorado-based Rateliff has returned numerous times, including at the Farm Aid 40th anniversary benefit concert held last year in Minneapolis.

The first Farm Aid was staged in 1985. The annual all-star concerts and other efforts have generated over $90 million in proceeds going to support independent family farming.

Annie Nelson, Lana Nelson and Mark Rothbaum are also members of the Farm Aid Board Of Directors.
