My Morning Jacket Announces Return Of One Big Holiday

By all indications 2016 will be a light year for My Morning Jacket as Jim James focuses on production work and the other members of the group serve as the backing band for Ray LaMontagne. In our first sign that 2017 may be different, MMJ has announced the return of their destination event One Big Holiday.

The third installment of My Morning Jacket’s One Big Holiday, produced by Cloud 9 Adventures, will be held at the Hard Rock Hotel in Riviera Maya, Mexico February 4 – 8, 2017. Additional details including booking information and the lineup of acts that will join MMJ in Mexico will be revealed soon. One Big Holiday was last held in 2015 and first held in 2014. My Morning Jacket performed three complete shows at each installment.

Last year’s One Big Holiday featured a bevy of cover debuts and guest spots ahead of a year that saw the band focus almost exclusively on originals after the event. Watch the official recap of the first One Big Holiday:
