Music Heals International Adds Phil Lesh Tribute Set To 2024 Benefit Concert

P& F alums David Nelson, Elliott Peck, Pete Sears, Barry Sless, Mookie Siegel, Jay Lane and Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz have been confirmed for the special performance.

A major loss has taken place since Music Heals International (MHI) announced its 2024 benefit concert, Women Rock, Music Heals!, with the death of Phil Lesh. MHI will honor the Grateful Dead bassist and his landmark second chapter by presenting a Tribute To Phil & Friends at the show on December 9 at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, California.

Phil Lesh & Friends alums David Nelson, Elliott Peck, Pete Sears, Barry Sless, Mookie Siegel, Jay Lane and Lebo (Dan Lebowitz) will all participate in the special performances. Surprise guests are also expected.

As previously announced, Women Rock, Music Heals! will be headlined by Joan Osborne. Haitian singer-songwriter Paul Beaubrun is also aboard for a night that will feature the debut of the MHI Female All Stars consisting of Holly Bowling on keys, Angeline Saris on bass, Bella Rayne on guitar and Daria Johnson on drums

Women Rock, Music Heals! celebrates MHI’s female student musicians in Haiti, Venezuela and India. All proceeds will benefit Music Heals International.
