Muse played their first show of 2025 with their tour-opening performance at Kulttuuritalo in Helsinki, Finland. The British trio treated attendees at the intimate venue to the live debut of their new song, “Unravelling.”

Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, bassist Chris Wolstenholme and drummer Dominic Howard had hinted at new music through a series of social media posts. Footage of the trio performing was recently shared with the word “Unravelling” flashing at the end of the brief video.

The trio — accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Dan Lancaster — unveiled the new song at the onset of the Kulttuuritalo show. Muse’s last studio album was the 2022 release Will Of The People. Muse will release the single version of “Unravelling” on June 20.

The rest of the opening night setlist showcased Will Of The People, along with a survey of selections from across the band’s studio output, with the rarely played “United States of Eurasia” among the highlights.

Muse will perform at festivals across Europe following the concert at the 1,500 person capacity venue. Watch Muse take the stage at Kulttuuritalo and unleash their new song “Unravelling,” and the unexpected “United States Of Eurasia,” below:
