Mumford & Sons bid farewell to support act Portugal. The Man after a few weeks on the road together by inviting the band to share the stage for a cover of “All Along The Watchtower.” The two-band collaboration brought last night’s concert at USANA Amphitheatre near Salt Lake City to a close.
P. TM kicked off the action in West Valley, Utah with a seven-song set that included such staples as “Purple Yellow Red & Blue,” “Modern Jesus” and “Feel It Still.” Mumford & Sons then took the stage for a 15-song main set heavy on material from their most recent album, Delta. The band also performed a number of songs from their previous LPs including old favorites “Little Lion Man,” “The Cave” and “I Will Wait.”

Mumford & Sons’ seven-song encore ended with “All Along The Watchtower,” which they first performed last fall at the Ohana Festival with Eddie Vedder. “Not only are they one of the most exciting and talented bands around, they are also some of the nicest people we’ve had the honor to share the stage with,” said Marcus Mumford in introducing Portgual. The Man.
