Mumford & Sons Welcome Madison Cunningham & Cover Taylor Swift At Red Rocks Finale

Mumford & Sons completed a two-night stand at Red Rocks near Denver on Tuesday. The British folk rock band brought out opener Madison Cunningham for a pair of tunes, including the tour debut of “Blood on the Page,” and also went it alone on a Taylor Swift cover.

Following a recording of Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid” playing over the PA in tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away on Tuesday, Mumford & Sons kicked off the concert with the title track to their 2025 LP, Rushmere, followed by the album’s “Caroline.”

Favorites such as “Little Lion Man” and “Blank White Page” followed before Mumford & Sons recruited singer-songwriter Madison Cunningham for a two-song sit-in beginning with “Awake My Soul” off the group’s 2009 debut album, Sigh No More.

Frontman Marcus Mumford and Cunningham, both on guitar, traded verses and blended their voices during the song’s peak. Madison then put down her Fender Jaguar as Mumford stayed on acoustic for “Blood on the Page.” The pair delivered a duet on the tour debut of the Rushmere cut in a reprise of Cunningham’s appearance on the studio version.

Additional favorites such as “Hopeless Wanderer” and “The Cave” came next ahead of the tour debut of “Roll Away Your Stone.” Mumford & Sons also nodded to their friend Taylor Swift with an acoustic performance of “cowboy like me” from their B-stage. Mumford provided backing vocals on the song off Swift’s 2020 album evermore. Returning to the main stage for the encore, the band concluded their Red Rocks run with “Delta,” “The Wolf” and “I Will Wait.”
