Mt. Joy made the second stop of their Hope We Have Fun Tour 2025 on Monday at KEMBA Live! in Columbus, Ohio. The encore featured members of Ohio-based band Caamp joining My. Joy for location-appropriate cover of Gillian Welch and “Look At Miss Ohio.”
My. Joy guitarist Matt Quinn introduced the Ohio-native Caamp members Taylor Meier and Evan Westfall at the start of the encore of Monday’s concert.
“It’s an honor to welcome Evan and Taylor from Caamp to the stage to help us out on this one,” Quinn declared. “We’re gonna try this song, that I’ve loved my whole life, that’s about Ohio.”
Meier joined Quinn on vocals while Westfall added banjo to “Look At Miss Ohio.” The song was co-written by Gillian Welch and her longtime musical partner David Rawlings for Welch’s 2003 album, Soul Journey.
