MJ Lenderman will no longer be opening for Zach Bryan this summer. Lenderman & The Wind were previously scheduled to support six stadium shows on Bryan's 2026 With Heave On Tour.
The North Carolina-based singer-songwriter issued a statement explaining the decision. “MJ Lenderman and the Wind are no longer able to join Zach Bryan on tour next month,” Lenderman wrote. “After years on the road, I need time to rest, recalibrate and work on new songs.”
MJ Lenderman ended the note by praising Bryan for asking him to open. “Thank you to Zach for the invitation – we’ll see you all another time – Jake.”
Ryan Bingham And The Texas Gentleman have replaced Lenderman on the bill. Shows affected by the switch are performances in San Diego on July 31 and August 1, Salt Lake City on August 7, Denver on August 13 and 14 and Glendale (Arizona) on September 5.
MJ Lenderman has been touring extensively since the release of his debut album Boat Songs in 2022 and its breakthrough follow-up Manning Fireworks in 2024. Lenderman played 120 shows in 2025 alone as per Setlist.FM statistics and performed several concerts last year as member of Snocaps, a band led by Waxahatchee and Allison Crutchfield. Waxahatchee and Lenderman recently concluded a joint tour.
