The Milk Carton Kids & Vera Sola Are ‘Waiting (Again)’ On Kimmel

The Milk Carton Kids and singer-songwriter Vera Sola teamed for a Jimmy Kimmel Live performance on Tuesday. The trio delivered a rendition of Vera Sola’s “Waiting.”

“Waiting” appears on the 2024 Vera Sola — the stage name of Danielle Aykroyd, daughter of Dan Aykroyd — album Peacemaker.

“All of my songs always hold many truths, and come from many perspectives, and hold many different emotions,” Aykroyd said of Peacemaker speaking with Everything Is Noise.

A year after releasing her debut LP, Shades, in 2018, Vera Sola was an instructor at Milk Carton Kids’ Sad Songs Summer Camp in 2019. Aykroyd spoke about working with MCK’s Kenneth Pattengale in an interview with NYSMusic.

“Kenneth has been a dear friend for a little while,” shea said. “He says he’s always admired the way I approach lyrics in particular.”

Those lyrics and gorgeous three-part harmonies were on display for Vera Sola, Pattendale and Joey Ryan‘s trio version of “Waiting,” dubbed “Waiting (Again),” on Kimmel. Watch below:
