Mike Gordon recently announced his first “solo” show of 2025 will take place at The Joy Theater in New Orleans on Friday, May 2. Gordon will be joined by guitarists Xavier Lynn and Bob Wagner, keyboardist Robert Walter and drummer John Morgan Kimock for his concert at The Joy Theater. Karina Rykman and her band will open. The show is part of Live For Live Music’s 2025 Fest By Nite concert series.

Xavier Lynn and Bob Wagner are new additions to the group, stepping in for longtime Mike Gordon five-piece members, guitarist Scott Murawaski and percussionist Craig Myers. Lynnhas toured with MonoNeon and Ghost-Note, while Wagner is a veteran of the Burlington, Vermont music scene. Both guitarists are also talented vocalists.

Mike Gordon announced the change to his band lineup via Instagram. Gordon also shared a pair of videos on the platform featuring Wagner. The pair performs a segue connecting “Connected” into “Carini” in the first and covers J.J. Cale’s “Call Me The Breeze” in the second.

Tickets for Mike Gordon’s May show in New Orleans are on sale now. Phish kicks off their spring tour on April 18 at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena.
