Mick Fleetwood Joins Crowded House For Hits In London

Crowded House continued their UK Tour at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Thursday. Fleetwood Mac legend Mick Fleetwood joined the band for hits during the encore and more.

Crowded House frontman Neil Finn joined Fleetwood Mac in 2018. His bandmate in the Mac, Mick Fleetwood, introduced Crowded House before joining them to launch the concert with “World Where You Live,” off Crowded House’s 1986 self-titled debut album. While Mick departed after the opener, he would return during the encore.

Crowded House then turned to material from their new album, Gravity Stairs, with the single “Teenage Dream” followed by the album’s “I Can’t Keep Up With You.” Crowded House classics performed in the main set included “Fall at Your Feet,” “The Howl,” “Something So Strong” and set closer “Don’t Dream It’s Over.”

“It’s Only Natural” kicked off the encore before Fleetwood returned and got behind the kit for a tune from Finn’s pre-Crowded House band Split Enz. Mick stayed on for “Not Like Other Men” and provided hand drum on Crowded House’s 1991 hit, “Weather With You,” which also featured Elias Dendias on bouzouki and Tryfon Baitsis on guitar.

While Mick departed for the final time, Dendias stuck around to play bouzouki on closer “Four Seasons in a Day.” Watch a clip of Mick Fleetwood playing drums on “I Got You” and his sit-in on “Weather With You” below:
