Metallica extended their M72 World Tour into 2025. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band announced 21 new North American dates spanning April 12 – June 29. Pantera, Limp Bizkit, and Ice Nine Kills will each open select shows.
The M72 World Tour began in 2023. Metallica will keep the successful run’s tradition of New Repeat Weekends intact, with each night of the band’s two-show runs featuring different setlists and openers. The 2025 jaunt adds a twist as several single shows are included along with the two-concert runs.
Metallica kicks off their 2025 North American Tour at Las Vegas’ Sick New World on April 12. It’s then off to Syracuse, New York on April 19. Two-show runs in Toronto and Nashville follow before the band’s Blacksburg, Virginia debut on May 7 and two nights at Columbus’ Sonic Temple festival on May 9 and 11.
The legendary metal act continues the excursion in Philadelphia on May 23 and 25. Additional East Coast dates follow in Landover, Maryland (May 11); Charlotte (May 31); Atlanta (June 3) and Tampa (June 6 and 8). Metallica then heads to Houston on June 14 ahead of two-concert visits to Santa Clara, California (June 20 and 22) and Denver (June 27 and 29).
Tickets for the new dates go on sale to the general public next Friday, September 27 at 10 a.m. local time. A series of presales will be held in the days leading up the general on-sale.
