MerleFest 2016 Initial Lineup Announcement

The 2016 installment of MerleFest will take place on the campus of Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, North Carolina April 28 – May 1. Today, organizers of the long-running bluegrass festival have revealed the initial lineup for next year’s event.

John Prine, Dave Rawlings Machine and The Wood Brothers have been tapped to headline MerleFest ’16. Jerry Douglas, Scythian, The Kruger Brothers, Donna The Buffalo and Becky Buller round out the list of names a top the lineup. The Brothers Comatose, Penny & Sparrow, Billy Strings & Don Julin, Sierra Hull and The Waybacks are among the dozens of acts announced today.
