A number of additions to the lineup have been made. Louis Cato will be part of the evening’s house band, while the horn section will consist of James Casey (Trey Anastasio Band), Maurice “Mobetta” Brown (TTB, Roots, Wyclef) and Ian Gray (Swift Technique). Vocalists for the tribute include Ziek McCarter (Con Brio), Mayteana Morales (Pimps Of Joytime), Hayley Jane and Nephrok.

This Friday, The Hall At MP in Brooklyn will host a tribute to Prince put together by Live For Live Music. Keyboardist Aron Magner of the Disco Biscuits, Lotus drummer Mike Greenfield, Particle bassist Clay Parnell and Digital Tape Machine guitarist Marcus Rezak will serve as house band for the event.

The foursome will be joined by a number of guest horn players and singers that have yet to be revealed at the NYC concert this Friday, May 6. “Prince performed music that he believed in and never worried about being cool in the eyes of those around him. He is a true artist that encompassed all walks of style and musical influence. His guitar playing and production were perfect ingredients to his delicious musical recipes,” said Rezak in a press release announcing the event. “I love playing his music; the full experience of his lyrics and sexualized persona is just incredible.”
