New Mastersounds
Falcor and Friends Presents is bringing the party to Santa Cruz for a very special 4/20 show at Moe’s Alley with Brit funksters New Mastersounds and Los Angeles based Big Organ Trio. Santa Cruz has been a hot 4/20 destination for some time now, and F&F is promising quite the throw down with these two funky bands. Expect many a surprises… but make sure to save some energy for 4/21 when the party heads to San Francisco for an all night Green Apple Music Festival after party that will have 12 Galaxies bouncing well past 4 a.m.

These shows will mark the second collaboration with New Mastersounds for Falcor and Friends Presents. Big Organ Trio will open both shows, and on Saturday, New Mastersounds will perform 3 full sets.

The New Mastersounds has been stirring up quite a buzz overseas over the past few years, gigging relentlessly internationally and cutting several singles and long plays that have seen heavy rotation in the club circuit as well as radio play. Their instrumental funk rock rivals some of the greats.

Big Organ Trio offer up a fierce and gritty sound that caters to heavy grooves and lots of organ. Fronted by Mike Mangan, a mad scientist of the keys, he has been called the “Keller Williams of organ,” adding complex layers and sounds that are exploding with energy.

The Green Apple festival is an environmentally conscious event occurring simultaneously in New York, Chicago and San Francisco. Other acts confirmed in San Francisco are Tea Leaf Green, Railroad Earth and of course a large free concert in Golden Gate park featuring Martin Sexton, Greyboy Allstars and Bob Weir and RatDog. Big Organ Trio, The New Mastersounds and Falcor and Friends Presents are excited to be bringing these two shows to this event!
