Marky Ramone Guests With Arcade Fire In Brooklyn

Most of the shows on Arcade Fire’s current Reflektor Tour have seen the band cover a local artist to start their encore. The Canadian rockers have taken the trend a step further during this weekend’s performances at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center by having the original artist join them for the covers. On Friday night New York Dolls front man David Johansen donned his Buster Poindexter gear for a cover of “Hot Hot Hot” and last night drummer Marky Ramone sat in on a pair of The Ramones covers.

The encore started with a “Psycho Killer” fake out featuring the bobbleheads that appear at every show. Actress Emma Stone donned the “YOLO-Man” bobblehead for last night’s show:

When the real band took the stage they were joined by Marky Ramone, who’s tenure in The Ramones lasted 15 years and he’s the only surviving member from the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame act’s classic lineup. Marky was behind the kit for takes on “I Don’t Wanna Go Down To The Basement” and “I Wanna Be Sedated.” Watch fan-shot footage of the covers thanks to Hugh Gotlt:
