Margo Price Performs Live Virtual Session For ‘The Current’

Margo Price appeared on a Live Virtual Session for The Current. The singer-songwriter performed songs from her 2020 album, That’s How Rumors Get Started, for the Minnesota public radio station’s video series.

Price’s new record arrived on July 10. To begin the session, Margo chatted with host Jill Riley about what it was like to have the album out (the LP’s release was pushed back from May to July due to the coronavirus) as well as the general genesis of the record. Price then performed the title track from That’s How Rumors Get Started followed by “Letting Me Down.”

Margo also talked about working with Sturgill Simpson, who co-produced the record, along with her sometimes precarious place in the country music world, signing with Loma Vista Records and more. Price closed out the session with a performance of That’s How Rumors Get Started lead single, “Stone Me.”
