Margo Price & Jeremy Ivey Perform ‘Tiny Desk (Home) Concert’
Margo Price and her husband, Jeremy Ivey teamed up to perform for the latest installment of NPR Music’s Tiny Desk (Home) Concerts video series. Price and Ivey played three songs from the safety of their Nashville home.
Tiny Desk (Home) Concerts are an extension of the Tiny Desk Concert series that was launched to keep live music fans entertained while staying home. “It’s the same spirit — stripped-down sets, an intimate setting — just a different space,” reads an explanation from NPR Music. Margo and Jeremy began their set with “Stone Me” from Price’s forthcoming That's How Rumors Get Started album. That’s How Rumors Get Started is slated for release on May 8 via Loma Vista Recordings.
Price and Ivey went on to perform “Just Like Love” from Margo’s 2017 release, Weakness. The pair dedicated the set to everybody struggling and thanked “all the people still out there working, the doctors, all the sanitation people, everybody out there just doing what they have to do to so we can survive” and “all the people working in grocery stores.” Margo added “we feel you” to those who lost their jobs. The duo ended their set with “Someone Else’s Problem,” a new song Jeremy first performed last fall. Price and Ivey wrote the tune together while traveling on an airplane during Margo’s pregnancy. “It’s just about the feeling that I have, and that most people have, of being part of the problem and not part of the solution,” Jeremy explained.
