The Marcus King Band Family Reunion To Return For 2nd Installment

Southern blues-rockers The Marcus King Band headlined the inaugural The Marcus King Band Family Reunion at Pisgah Brewing in Black Mountain, North Carolina last October. The group has announced the event will return for a second installment at Pisgah Brewing on October 5 – 6.

Once again, guitarist Marcus King will curate the lineup for The Marcus King Band Family Reunion which will be revealed soon. “I remember these gatherings were always the happiest time for me as a kid. A stress-free environment where you are free to love the people you’re around,” said King in a statement announcing the inaugural event. “That’s the aesthetic we want to bring to our festival. Community and happiness. There are no separate agendas being forced on anyone. Just an all-around good time.”

Last year’s festival featured performances from Blackberry Smoke, David Shaw, Muddy Magnolias, Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band, George Porter Jr. & The Runnin’ Pardners, BIG Something and more. Sets took place both indoors at the brewery and at Pisgah’s gorgeous outdoor stage. The event also included a guest-filled “Marcus King Band Family” set.
