Maggie Rose & Vince Gill Share Collaborative ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’ Single

Singer-songwriter Maggie Rose and acclaimed guitarist/vocalist Vince Gill released a collaborative cover of “I Can’t Make You Love Me.” The track arrived with a video capturing footage of the recording of the Bonnie Raitt hit song.

“I have always considered ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’ to be one of those immaculate songs that any artist would aspire to write and perform so it was a dream to reimagine it,” Rose stated. “The melody and emotion within that song are timeless so having Vince’s timeless voice took it over the top. I’m so grateful that he was willing to collaborate with me on the recording and that he shared with me in the appreciation of Bonnie’s original because such legendary song deserves a legendary voice like his.”

Co-written by Mike Reid and Allen Shamblin, “I Can’t Make You Love Me” was released by Bonnie Raitt on her 1991 album, Luck of the Draw. The single became one of Raitt’s top-selling and most enduring songs.

Rose will join Chris Stapleton on select dates of his 2025 All-American Road Show Tour. Gill is set to return to the Las Vegas Sphere with the Eagles next week.
