Mac DeMarco Announces Mini-LP & Tour

Eccentric rock guitarist Mac DeMarco has announced a new mini-LP Another One which will be issued by Captured Tracks August 7. The eight-song collection follows up last year’s superb album Salad Days. DeMarco recorded the entire mini-LP himself at the singer-songwriter’s home studio in Far Rockaway, Queens. With the announcement of the new record came confirmation of an extensive tour in support of the release.
For those who opt to pre-order Another One on iTunes, bonus instrumental versions of each of the tracks will be included when the album is released. A quirky video of the “Making of Another One” –complete with DeMarco giving thanks to the ghost Jerry Garcia for stopping by and sending the late Grateful Dead guitarist a message of love –was also shared today.
Mac and his band have a slew of newly confirmed tour dates running through September during which time they’ll make two trips to Europe between several theater and festival dates across North America including stops at Bonnaroo, Pitchfork and Outside Lands.
