Luke Combs was among the day one headliners yesterday at Lollapalooza. Combs’ set at Chicago Grant Park saw fellow Lolla performer, singer-songwriter Alex Warren, emerging for a two-song sit-in featuring his chart-topping hit “Ordinary.”

Combs was working through the back half of his headlining performance when he welcomed Warren to join him on the main stage. Warren had just completed his set at a nearby smaller stage before making his way to join Combs.

“We figured, we just heard the song a little bit ago,” Combs told the Lolla crowd. “And me and the boys worked it up because we thought it might be cool to do it for you tonight. Even though some of you may have already heard it. I just thought, I don’t know, I’d like to sing it.”

Combs and his band then started playing “Ordinary.” The song from Warren’s recently released debut album, You’ll Be Alright, Kid, currently sits atop the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart. Midway through the cover, Combs signaled for Warren to join him for the #1 hit song.

Combs kept Warren for a subsequent take on “She Got the Best of Me,” which Warren called his “favorite song.” Watch the “Ordinary” collaboration (at 50:14) and Combs’ full Lolla set below:
