Farm Aid shared a video of Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats covering The Band’s “The Shape I’m In” with Lukas Nelson. The performance came during Rateliff and company’s appearance at Farm Aid 2021 on September 25 in Hartford, Connecticut.
“The Shape I’m In” originally appears on The Band’s 1970 album Stage Fright. For their Farm Aid performance of the classic, Rateliff leads the band through the tune with Nelson joining in harmony on the chorus and also trading rollicking solos with Nathaniel and Night Sweats guitarist Luke Mossman. The benefit concert is held each year to raise funds for and to bring attention to the plight of family farmers.
