Lucy Dacus shared her cover of What’s “Last Christmas.” The track appears on the singer-songwriter’s upcoming new covers EP, 2019.

Matador Records will release 2019 on November 8. The EP collects a series of holiday-inspired covers Dacus released throughout the year. Those previously shared singles include “La Vie En Rose” for Valentine’s Day, “My Mother & I” for Mother’s Day, “Forever Half Mast” for Independence Day, “In The Air Tonight” for Halloween and “Dancing In The Dark” in honor of Bruce Springsteen and her father’s shared birthday.

“I don’t really like Christmas,” Dacus stated. “In the studio, we listened to the original of ‘Last Christmas’ and didn’t talk about an arrangement. I just told everyone to play it angry. This is what happened first take. It actually came out pretty fun, maybe a tad psychotic.”
