Lizzo headlined Saturday at the OUTLOUD Music Festival in West Hollywood as part of WeHo Pride Weekend. Lizzo showcased her flute-playing skills by taking a solo during her performance of “Over The Rainbow.”

Lizzo addressed the audience at the LGBTQ+ celebration:

“This song is dedicated to you and, more importantly, the Black trans women who, without their fight, we would not be able to celebrate today. And we still in some shit, right? But hopefully one day, beyond this motherfucking rainbow bitch, we will see a place where we no longer have to fight to exist. This is for you.”

With piano accompaniment, Lizzo then performed “Over The Rainbow,” adding a flute solo to the stark arrangement. Archival images documenting LGBTQ+ history and activism were projected behind Lizzo while she delivered the song from The Wizard Of Oz.
