Lettuce’s new studio album, Cook, dropped today through Lettuce Records. The record is the funk outfit’s first studio LP since 2022’s Unify.
Lettuce — drummer Adam Deitch, guitarist Adam “Shmeeans” Smirnoff, bassist Erick “Maverick” Coomes, saxophonist Ryan “Zoid” Zoidis, trumpeter Eric “Benny” Bloom and keyboardist/vocalist Nigel Hall — recently introduced Lettuce Red Crush and Orange Crush wine brands. The band also published an accompanying book of recipes, available with the vinyl edition and digitally.
Lettuce collectively shared these insights on Cook:
“Lettuce has always stood for well-made things in their purest form. Well-made records, well-made instruments, well-made food — and now, well-made wine. We don’t need filler, additives or any gobbledygook. So, we decided to make a wine that is just that, nothing added or taken away, just as Mother Earth intended it.”
“Music and food are very related,” added Deitch. “Use the wrong ingredients in either and you can ruin the sound and the meal.”
