Les Claypool Premieres ‘Precious Metals’ Short Film Featuring Robert Trujillo

Primus bassist Les Claypool released a short film titled Precious Metals. Cage Claypool directed the film which features Les and Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo.
Precious Metals received an initial screening at the recent NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) tradeshow (held virtually this year) and presented by EMG Pickups. The Claypools and Trujillo filmed the short at the Claypool estate in Northern California.
“As a veteran music video director and wannabe filmmaker, it swells my chest with puffy pride to see my son Cage delve into the world of cinematography and excel at it,” Les said in a statement. “He blows me away with his skill set, perspective, work ethic and ease of collaboration. That’s my boy!!”
Precious Metals carries a Spaghetti Western aesthetic and sees a bass duel from Claypool and Trujillo. Watch the film below:
